Operation Christmas Joy 2014

November 16th, 23rd, and 30th

Operation Christmas Joy is our opportunity to minister to local County Jail inmates and their families along with sharing the joy of Christmas with 75-100 children and their families this year!

Mary & Martha Monday: “Lovin’ Leftovers!”

Monday, November 10 at 7 pm

Keli Judd will be sharing her family’s favorite recipes for turkey leftovers. Come sample them and get some ideas for the coming holidays. We would love to have you bring your favorite leftover recipe, too, as well as a friend.

Please note: because of the Annual Ornament Exchange on Dec 7, this will be the last M&M Monday meeting of the year. Also, we are looking for ladies to help be a part of leading more events for 2015! If you are interested, email Keli.

Missions Update with Jim & Debbie Carroll

Sunday, November 9th - 7 pm

Jim and Debbie Carroll will be sharing highlights from their trip to visit our missionaries in Southeast Asia. Join them in their home as they share how they were able to serve, and learn how you can better pray for the people to whom they minster. To RSVP contact the church office 925-676-1584.

Women’s Game-n-Gab Night

Orphan Sunday Luncheon: 1 pm

Sunday, November 2nd – Fellowship Hall

The first Sunday in November is recognized as Orphan Sunday. For those who have RSVP’d, the GBC PURE ministry will host a luncheon in the Fellowship Hall at 1pm to provide the opportunity to share about the PURE ministry and all the ways to get involved as well as hear about the recent ministry trip to Guatemala. See you there!

The “Blessing Bag” Ministry: Ready-Made Bags Available

Sunday, November 2nd – Courtyard

Look for Marie Perri in the courtyard this Sunday as she shares with us a creative way to spread the gospel with those in our community in need. Marie will be providing some ready-made “blessing bags” to obtain for a suggested donation of $5/bag. If you are interested in making your own, instructions, Bibles, and gospel literature for your bags are available by request. Contact the church office at (925) 676-1584. If you would like to donate to the ministry, please place your donation in the weekly offering, or send to the church office and indicate “Blessing Bag Ministry”.

Operation Christmas Child

Box Collection Dates November 2nd & 9th

Partner with us again this fall as we collect gifts to donate to Samaritan’s Purse to reach children worldwide with the good news of God’s love and the meaning of Christmas! We will be collecting donations in the courtyard November 2 and 9.

Women of Grace Fall/Winter Baby Celebration

Saturday, November 1st

We are inviting ladies of all ages to join us for this special event of fellowship, encouragement, prayer, and time to welcome the babies of Iwona Djanowicz, MaryBeth Taylor, SheriAnn Momaney, Keren Johnson, and Sanny Hauk. We will meet in Fellowship Hall from 10-11:30 am.

Women’s Prayer Ministry

The Women of Grace have begun a new ministry of monthly prayer for every woman who regularly attends GBC. If you would like more information or to be a part of this ministry, please contact Keli Judd or Jane Hawksworth.

Meals Ministry

Consider participating with us! The Meals Ministry is a great way to care for families of GBC when a need comes along. If you enjoy cooking and would be interested in ministering to others this way, please contact Kathi Wihlon.

Bookstore Volunteers Needed!

We need a few more volunteers to keep the bookstore open on Sundays during the Fall. Please stop by the bookstore or call the church office (925) 676-1584 for more information.
